Ow ow ow.

This stuff's getting nasty. But I can't say I've got too much sympathy for Microsoft on this one; this kind of "security" is one invention I'm perfectly happy to grant that they came up with first.

Loved it.

Yes, I know that Windows mocking is like shooting fish in a barrel... with a flamethrower... but it's still good to see Apple stick the knife in.

PS - This is my second "First!" in a row for today's Peeve Farming. I will stop now, lest I unleash some manner of apocalypse.

I just installed a VMWare image of Vista to start evaluating it before adopting it. User Access Control is a complete NIGHTMARE and will get turned off immediately by most users, rendering it useless.

The commercial is great, and perfectly captures the feeling you have when UAC is turned on!

Yes, ouch.

It's the kind of ad that makes you cry and laugh at the same time.

"You are coming to a sad realization..." That was brilliant!

I'd have to say that though some of the other ads can be criticized for stretching the truth (e.g. PC's CAN "speak" the language of cameras made overseas), this ad is undeniably accurate in its representation of the treatment of security as between the two systems.

If only Microsoft had thought to steal ideas from *nix; then they might have been able to "invent" sudo.
