Matt Roth-Cline, who had one of the more on-the-mark sets of predictions for the Intel announcements at Macworld, has a post-mortem of the reasons why Apple did what it did.
As I'd originally said, Apple's chosen path looks pretty obvious in retrospect, now that we know what the real numbers are like. But for those of us who are all still trying to figure out how we feel about all this, this is a good read.
